Terms of Service

Effective August 15, 2026 · Terms version 2026-08-15

Yeoun is currently available only to people aged 18 or older. Guest use and account sign-up are separate procedures, and each requires its own explicit agreements.

Article 1. Purpose and operator

These Terms govern the conditions of the interactive-story service “Yeoun” provided by Round (representative: Heejae Byun, “the Company”) and the rights and obligations of the Company and users. Contact admin@team-round.com for support or questions about these Terms.

Article 2. Definitions

Article 3. Eligibility — 18 or older

  1. Only people aged 18 or older may use Yeoun as a guest, create an account, or make a payment.
  2. A person under 18 may not use the current service even with parental consent.
  3. Users must confirm that they are at least 18 during the required-agreement flow. If the Company reasonably verifies a violation, it may restrict the session or account and process related data under law and the Privacy Policy.
  4. Any future service for minors will begin only after separate safeguards and a parental-consent system are implemented and these Terms are revised.

Article 4. Guest contract

  1. Before starting as a guest, the user must separately accept these Terms, guest-data collection and processing, AI processing and overseas transfer, and the 18-or-older confirmation.
  2. The guest contract begins only after the server verifies the required agreements and issues a guest session. Installing the app or opening a policy link is not consent.
  3. Guest records are attached to the issued session. Recovery may be difficult after app deletion, device change, secure-storage reset, or loss of the session, so users who need durable recovery should create an account.
  4. Guest consent does not replace account sign-up consent.

See the required guest-use agreements.

Article 5. Account creation and sign-in

  1. Before creating an account, the user must separately accept these Terms, collection and processing of account data, AI processing and overseas transfer, and the 18-or-older confirmation.
  2. The membership contract begins only after the server verifies the required agreements and creates the account. Guest and account agreement histories remain separately attributed even when guest records are transferred.
  3. Existing members are not asked to accept the same revision at every sign-in. Renewed review or consent may be required after a material change affecting user rights or personal-data processing.
  4. Users must provide accurate information and protect passwords and authentication methods. Suspected unauthorised use should be reported promptly.
  5. For Google sign-in, Yeoun processes the immutable Google identifier and verified account information needed for sign-up and authentication.

See the required account sign-up agreements.

Article 6. Service and AI limitations

  1. AI generates character dialogue and some narration, while the server determines progress, endings, relationships, and memories according to the published work contract.
  2. Characters may refuse a user proposal or choose differently. No ending, relationship, or feature is guaranteed.
  3. AI output may contain errors, fiction, bias, or unexpected expression. It is not medical, legal, tax, financial, counselling, or other professional advice and must not be the sole basis for real-world decisions.
  4. The Company may change an available model or provider for safety, quality, cost, availability, or incident response. A material privacy change is disclosed and consented to where required before use.

Article 7. User input and AI processing

  1. Users retain their rights in submitted dialogue and actions and authorise processing only as needed to provide the service, generate responses, maintain progress, relationships and memories, and operate safely.
  2. OpenAI currently processes every customer AI conversation, including free, subscription, and credit-funded turns, and receives the input and necessary conversation, story, and relationship context in the United States. An outage does not automatically forward that data to another external AI provider. See AI processing and overseas data transfer and the Privacy Policy.
  3. The Company does not use conversation text to train its own AI models or for personalised advertising. OpenAI retention and improvement use follow the disclosed policy and contract.
  4. Do not enter government ID numbers, card numbers, passwords, verification codes, or another person’s data. Avoid health, biometric, sexual-life, or other sensitive data in ordinary chat.
  5. Withdrawing AI processing and overseas-transfer consent blocks new AI conversations but does not automatically delete existing records.

Article 8. Prohibited conduct and safety

The Company may restrict input or suspend a session or account to comply with law and policy and protect the service. Where the risk is not urgent, it will provide the reason and an appeal route when reasonably possible.

Article 9. Credits and subscriptions

  1. Installing the app and browsing works are free. Paid products are credits used for eligible AI generation and any separately displayed auto-renewing subscription.
  2. Price, tax, currency, quantity, subscription period, and renewal terms appear in Google Play before purchase. The entitlement is granted after server verification.
  3. Credits cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to another user. Paid credits have no arbitrary expiry unless one is shown at purchase or separately disclosed.
  4. Auto-renewing subscriptions can be cancelled through Google Play and remain available through the paid period. Deleting the app or Yeoun account does not cancel a Play subscription.
  5. Cancellation, refund, purchase restoration, and payment errors follow the Payment and Refund Policy, Google Play policy, and applicable law.

Article 10. Intellectual property

Rights in the service, design, software, and Company-authored works and characters belong to the Company or the relevant rights holder. The licence is for personal, non-commercial use and does not permit unauthorised copying, extraction, training, distribution, or sale of work, character, image, or code assets. Creators retain rights they lawfully own or control in submitted content and grant only the limited, non-exclusive licence needed to operate the service. See the Creator Rights and Submission Policy and Rights Complaint Process.

Article 11. Changes and interruption

The Company may change or discontinue a feature for security, legal compliance, content quality, or changes to an AI, payment, or cloud provider. Planned material changes are announced in advance where reasonably possible; urgent security incidents, disasters, network failures, or provider incidents may be announced afterward.

Article 12. Withdrawal and termination

  1. Members may request account and data deletion in the app or through the web deletion route.
  2. Guests may start as a new participant or use the available record-deletion control. Uninstalling the app does not necessarily delete server records immediately.
  3. Account deletion does not cancel a Google Play subscription or request an automatic refund.
  4. Transaction and dispute records required by law may be separated and retained for the statutory period.

Article 13. Liability

  1. The Company is liable under applicable law for loss caused by its intent or negligence.
  2. To the extent permitted by law, liability may be limited for communication or third-party failures outside the Company’s control, a user’s failure to protect credentials, or loss caused by treating AI output as established fact.
  3. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability for intent or gross negligence where such exclusion is prohibited.

Article 14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The parties first seek a good-faith resolution; unresolved disputes are heard by the court with jurisdiction under applicable Korean procedural law. Mandatory consumer protections in an overseas user’s country of residence are not restricted where they apply.

Article 15. Changes to these Terms

The Company announces the changes, reason, and effective date in the service or on this page. Adverse or material changes are announced in the manner and period required by law, and any newly required consent is obtained explicitly before continued guest use, sign-in, or AI conversation. Continued use alone is not treated as explicit consent.
